MacCaw Runs Hit String to 38 Straight Games
Thursday, August 28th , 2025
The Minnesota (GCL) Twins may have proven to be mere mortals as they lost, 7-3, to the Boston (GCL) Red Sox, but Dave MacCaw continued to hit like a god.
The second baseman collected 2 hits in 4 at-bats in the loss and extended his hitting streak to 38 games.
"MacCaw is playing great and is on fire right now," Twins manager Darren O'Day said. "Hopefully his play can spark the rest of our team and help us pick up some wins."
MacCaw was apparently not happy with the game and when pressed by reporters in the locker room only said "nothing else matters but the loss." Dave MacCaw flied out in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, was hit by a pitch in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
For the year, MacCaw is hitting .415 with 6 home runs. His stats include 39 RBI and 45 runs scored.
