Bishop Cracks 3 HR for Marlins Saturday, September 13th , 2025 Today was a special one for Steve Bishop of the Miami (GCL) Marlins as he slammed three home runs in the 9-3 Marlins win over the Toronto (GCL) Blue Jays. "Lately, I've been uppercutting the ball too much," he said to sportswriters after the game. "I would hit it hard, but they just went sky high and stayed in the ballpark. No big long outs for me in this game. I leveled out my swing and connected on the sweet spot. I knew they were gone the minute I hit 'em." The Miami (GCL) center fielder collected 3 hits in 6 at-bats, drove in 4, and scored 3 runs in the contest at Florida Auto Exchange Stadium. Steve Bishop hit a solo-shot off Vince Stanford in the 1st, struck out in the 2nd, struck out in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Jorge Medina in the 7th, hit a solo-shot off Dan McLeod in the 8th and struck out in the 9th. This season, Bishop is batting .343 with 56 RBIs, 50 runs scored and 24 home runs. |
