Lee on Fire: 5-for-6 for FCL Friday, July 31st , 2026 It's not something you read about in the sports pages every day -- a 5-for-6 day. For many, it might come around only once in a career -- and for Jared Lee, it came around today. The 24-year-old first baseman scattered hits all over Roger Dean Stadium to pace the 9-4 FCL Mets victory over the FCL Marlins. FCL skipper Shane Greene told reporters in the press room that "Lee deserves a hat-tip." "He hit some good pitches against us," he said. "In fact, according to our scouting reports, Lee hit several that he is not supposed to be able to hit." Jared Lee doubled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI triple in the 5th, grounded out in the 7th and hit an RBI double in the 9th. So far this season, Lee has put up a .467 batting average with 14 hits, 1 home run and 8 RBIs. View Boxscore |
