Gavaghan Bangs Out 5 Base Hits Thursday, September 24th , 2026 It seemed that FCL second baseman Glen Gavaghan could do no wrong as the Orioles KO'd the Twins, 13-12. Gavaghan rapped out 5 hits in 7 at-bats and seemed to know which pitches Twins hurlers were throwing. "I think the Orioles were stealing signs," growled one unhappy FCL fan after the game. "I felt good. I saw the ball well and just wanted to make good contact and put the ball in play," said the jubilant Gavaghan in the postgame press interview. Glen Gavaghan singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th, struck out in the 9th and struck out in the 10th. To date this season, Gavaghan is hitting .267 with 4 home runs. View Boxscore |
