Hit Puts Camacho in Record Book Sunday, September 27th , 2026 Jose Altuve was the old record holder. Now he's history and number two on the league all-time single-season hit leaderboard. He has been supplanted by Luis Camacho of the Texas Rangers, who collected the historic hit at Target Field to set a new mark. That pushed his total for the season to 226 hits. He spoke with the press after the game and said, "It's a great honor to see your name in the record book, along with the great stars of the past. I know my family will get a kick out of it." Luis Camacho singled in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, singled in the 6th, singled in the 8th and singled in the 9th. This season in 146 games, Camacho is batting .370 with no home runs, 57 RBIs and has scored 107 times. |
