Legends Rally Late to Nip Intimidators
Fans of the Lexington Legends who packed the stands for the home opener were rewarded with a Lexington win over the visiting Kannapolis Intimidators, 10-9. Dave Irving started for the home team against Orlando Reyna. Sergio Bruno earned accolades for his performance. Mitch Davis, credited with the win in relief, is now 1-0. He allowed 2 runs on 4 hits in 1 innings.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Lexington catcher Tomás Soto, facing Raúl Hernández, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the Legends the 10-9 win.

"This place sure got loud," said Brad Lincoln, the Lexington manager.
