Hammers Earn Late 4-3 Win
In a tight contest at NewBridge Bank Park, the Rome Hammers edged the Greensboro Grasshoppers by the score of 4-3. Rome shortstop Chip Lutz, who blasted 1 home run, was a key contributor. The defeat makes Greensboro 3-2.

Rome used the timely hitting of Dan Hill to seize the win. The third baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 11th inning to put the Hammers on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

Rome manager Aaron Holbert praised his team's "energy."
