Intimidators Pocket 3-2 Win Against Hickory
The Kannapolis Intimidators converted a terrific effort from starter Luis Cortéz into a win over the Hickory Crawdads at CMC-NorthEast Stadium. The Intimidators won the game by a final score of 3-2. Juan Vélez collected his 3rd save. The loss drops Hickory to 6-2.

Greg Haslewood had a big 2-run double for the Intimidators in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Kannapolis leading 1-0 and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he got a fastball from 23-year old right-handed pitcher Dan Townsley and swatted a double to left. It was his 2nd double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Intimidators ahead, 3-0.

"We came out on top and that's all I can ask for," said Cortéz.
