Butler Now 2-0 After Subduing Suns
|
The Greenville Drive locked up a win at Fluor Field at the West End, knocking off the Hagerstown Suns, 1-0. On the mound for Greenville was left-hander Andy Butler. He played a major role in the triumph. Picking up the save was 22-year old right-handed pitcher José Salazar. Greenville, now 7-1, is playing great baseball to start the year.
Butler was the winning pitcher. He raised his season record to 2-0. In 8 innings of work, Butler gave up no runs on 1 hit, while striking out 14. The Suns were never able to generate much offense.
"Andy made the big pitches when he needed to," said Greenville manager Jason Wood.
