Intimidators Need Extra Innings to Top BlueClaws, 4-3
The Intimidators earned a hard-fought, 4-3 win in 12 innings at CMC-NorthEast Stadium. To do so required withstanding a fine effort from Lakewood pitcher Kevin Rodgers. Rodgers went 8 innings and allowed 1 run. For the BlueClaws, the loss makes them 5-9.

The decisive blow was delivered by Joey Hawkins in the bottom of the 12th when he hit a run-scoring double off 23-year old left-handed pitcher Alex Stevens to win the game for Kannapolis. The home crowd went nuts.

"I was a little disappointed," said Lakewood manager Shawn Kelley. "We could've and should've scored more runs."
