The rain could not dampen the enthusiasm of Delmarva fans at Arthur W. Perdue Stadium.

In the 8-2 Delmarva win over Greenville, the impact of Stu Gill was substantial. Gill went 2-3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times. The victory makes Delmarva 9-6, as the team seeks a return to the playoffs in 2025.

Delmarva right fielder Kip Larsen contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the second. With two down, he hit a curveball to right field for a run-scoring single. It was his 9th hit of the season and put the Shorebirds ahead, 2-0.

"If you don't take any pitches off, you've got a chance to impact the game, and that's what we did," said Delmarva skipper Tripp Keister.
