Lexington Absorbs 8-3 Loss to Asheville
The Asheville Tourists beat the Lexington Legends, 8-3, at Whitaker Bank Ballpark. Juan Reyes was 3 for 5 with a home run and a double. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. The 21-year old right fielder was a menace to Lexington all day. Asheville reliever Pete Joseph picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Raúl Gonzáles took the loss. The Legends fall to 7-11 and continue their unimpressive start to the 2026 season.

The game was all tied up in the top of the ninth, until Reyes delivered big-time for Asheville, stroking a dramatic 2-run home run off Raúl Gonzáles. The game-changing hit put the Tourists on top, 5-3.

"I feel like we're rolling now," Reyes told the Asheville Chronicle."The dugout is coming alive."
