The Charleston RiverDogs scored a tight, 4-3 win versus the Asheville Tourists at Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park. Charleston pitcher Lou Lane held his own in the contest. Edgar López collected save number 6. The win moves Charleston to a record of 11-8.

Charleston took a 4-3 lead on Jorge Cantú's 8th double of the season. The 2-run double, which Cantú hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Asheville pitcher Josh Cooper visibly frustrated.

"I still think this team can play even better," Cantú told the Charleston Daily.
