Rome Hammers starter Jesús Martínez turned in a top-notch performance against the Greenville Drive at State Mutual Stadium. The result was a win for the Hammers, 5-1. Greenville is 9-10 after the loss.

Luis Rivera dealt the Drive a blow in the bottom of the fourth. Batting with the bases loaded and Rome leading 1-0, Rivera hit a 2-1 changeup for a run-scoring single.
