Thomas, Sand Gnats March to 4-2 Victory
Savannah second baseman Ed Thomas was instrumental in helping the Sand Gnats triumph, 4-2, over the Asheville Tourists. Thomas was 3-4 with a home run and a triple, while scoring 2 and driving in 3. Savannah, now 13-6, has played well in the early going.

With Savannah leading 2-0 in the top of the third, Thomas hit a changeup from Jesús Luna for a 2-run home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the Sand Gnats ahead, 4-0.

Savannah manager Tyler Colvin praised his team's "no BS approach."
