Snyder Propels West Virginia Offense in 11-2 Rout
Soggy conditions did not keep West Virginia and Kannapolis from playing their scheduled game.

The West Virginia Power had no problem beating the Kannapolis Intimidators, 11-2, at CMC-NorthEast Stadium. Billy Snyder led the way. He went 3-5 with a home run and a triple, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 5 for West Virginia. The winning pitcher was Jared Smiley. He's now 2-0. He went 8 innings, allowing 2 runs on 4 hits for the Power.

With West Virginia leading 4-0 in the top of the fifth, Snyder came up to bat against Kannapolis pitcher Dave Adams. Snyder hit a fastball to center for a grand slam home run. His 1st home run of the season put the Power on top, 8-0.

"We were firing on all cylinders," said Power manager German Melendez.

After losing, Kannapolis is 12-8.
