Tourists Send Savannah Home with 6-4 Loss
The Asheville Tourists downed the Savannah Sand Gnats, 6-4. The hitting star was center fielder Dave Norman. Norman went 3-4 with a double and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs for the Tourists. Steve Nelson earned the win to go to 1-2. He allowed 4 runs on 7 hits, with 1 walk and 6 strikeouts in 5.1 innings of work. Chris Godwin was called on to finish, recording his 2nd save.

With Asheville leading 3-0 in the bottom of the third, Norman hit a curveball from Dominic Roy for a 2-run double. It was his 5th double of the season and put the Tourists ahead, 5-0.

"We had situations where we should have got some runs in, but we didn't get the runs in," said losing manager Tyler Colvin.

The loss makes Savannah 13-8.
