Tourists 4-1 Victors Over West Virginia

The Asheville Tourists picked up a win at Appalachian Power Park, knocking off the West Virginia Power, 4-1. On the mound for Asheville was right-hander Greg Smith. He played a key role in the triumph. Pete Mason closed out the game, earning his 6th save. With the loss, West Virginia is 12-14.
Juan Reyes, who is tied for 10th in the SAL in runs scored with 13, had a direct impact on the outcome. Reyes contributed a 2-run single in the top of the first inning to put Asheville up, 4-0.
Reyes called the win "a lesson in teamwork."
