Led by Jorge Cantú, the Charleston RiverDogs defeated the Greensboro Grasshoppers, 8-3. Cantú went 1-3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the RiverDogs. Picking up his 1st save was 22-year old right-handed pitcher Mario Aguilar. The loss makes Greensboro 19-15.

Charleston first baseman Pete McDonald contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the first. With two down, he hit a curveball to right field for a 2-run single. It was his 34th hit of the season and put the RiverDogs ahead, 2-0.

"It's the best feeling when you come through for your teammates," said Cantú.
