Augusta Gets 2-1 Road Win
Augusta GreenJackets starter Oscar Floyd turned in a top-notch performance against the Kannapolis Intimidators at CMC-NorthEast Stadium. The result was a win for the GreenJackets, 2-1. Floyd picked up the win for Augusta, going 5.1 innings. He gave up no runs on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 1-6. Augusta goes to 16-21, Kannapolis to 20-17.

Augusta used the timely hitting of Billy Downs to seize the win. The first baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the GreenJackets on top, 2-0. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"Oscar is good at sticking to his strengths," said Augusta manager Troy Tulowitzki.
