Shorebirds Send Lexington Home with 3-0 Loss
Pitching was the name of the game in a tight contest between the Delmarva Shorebirds and the Lexington Legends. Delmarva won it, 3-0. Delmarva starter Darío Vargas was in command. José Bustamante earned the save, his 2nd, for the Shorebirds. The Shorebirds improved to a lofty 26-11.

The Shorebirds ran into trouble in the top of the second. The score was 1-0, Delmarva, with one out. Lexington, with runners on 1st and 2nd, had Salomão Saraiva at the plate. With a base hit, he could have changed the complexion of the game. Instead, he flied out and the Shorebirds went on to win.
