The Hagerstown Suns could not turn a fine performance from pitcher Jim Richmond into a win. Instead, the Lexington Legends prevailed, 7-2. Richmond threw 5.2 innings of shutout ball. Lexington is now 20-19, while Hagerstown is 16-23.

It could have been a different outcome for Lexington, had it not been for Chris Huggins, the 21-year old center fielder . Huggins contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the ninth inning to put Lexington up, 3-2.

Huggins attributed the win to his team's "concerted effort."
