Tourists Score Late to Upend RiverDogs, 9-2
The Asheville Tourists topped the Charleston RiverDogs, 9-2, in South Atlantic League action at Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park. The standout performance belonged to Asheville pitcher and Mila Doce, Texas, native Robbie Deal. Asheville is 18-22 and Charleston, with the loss, 23-17.

Asheville used the timely hitting of Butch Fowler to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Tourists on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"It was a solid team effort," said Deal after the game.
