Behind a fine performance from Manny Zarate, the Delmarva Shorebirds knocked off the Hagerstown Suns, 9-0. Zarate went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 2 for the Shorebirds. António López nailed down the save. Delmarva is now 31-14, 6 games up in the Northern Division.

Jimmy Koch, who is tied for 2nd in the SAL in wins with 5, helped out the Delmarva cause in the bottom of the fifth inning with a run-scoring walk. For the game, the designated hitter was 1 for 3 with a double and a walk.
