Win Makes Savannah 30-16
|
Savannah Sand Gnats starter Ed Harvey turned in an exceptional performance against the West Virginia Power at Grayson Stadium, resulting in a Savannah win, 5-2. Harvey yielded 2 runs over 8.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 1, and struck out 8. His record improves to 2-3. The Sand Gnats, at 30-16, have now won 8 straight.
Mike Nance, who is tied for 8th in the SAL in doubles with 11, helped out the Savannah cause in the bottom of the third inning with a run-scoring walk. For the game, the first baseman drew 1 walk.
"There's never a lack of effort in our clubhouse. We're willing to do the little things to get the win," Nance told the Savannah Herald.
