Win Streak Now at 7 for Tourists

The Asheville Tourists downed the Lexington Legends, 3-1, at McCormick Field. Stellar pitching by Jesús Luna had a lot to do with it. The right-hander, who is tied for 4th in the SAL in quality starts with 8, handcuffed his opponent all game. Luna got the win, improving to 6-2. He gave up 8 hits and walked 0 over 6.2 innings. He allowed no runs. Asheville has now won 7 in a row.
With scoring opportunities rare, the Tourists had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the fourth, when first baseman Ed Anderson hit a run-scoring single. The single came off Cam Sellers and made the score 1-0, Tourists. Anderson was 2-4 with 2 singles.
Anderson attributed the win to "an all-around good team performance."
