Intimidators Need Extra Innings to Top Grasshoppers, 3-2
Starting pitcher Raúl Hernández took care of business, helping the Kannapolis Intimidators stifle the Greensboro Grasshoppers, 3-2. Kannapolis reliever Steve Boucher picked up the win, upping his record to 2-1. Pancho Jaca took the loss. The triumph puts Kannapolis at 26-23 for the season.

The Intimidators got a clutch hit from designated hitter Luis Yan. In the bottom of the 13th, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Intimidators.

"That was a really good outing by Raúl," said Kannapolis manager Osamu Hamanaka.
