Sand Gnats Rally Late to Clip Asheville
The Savannah Sand Gnats picked up a win at McCormick Field, knocking off the Asheville Tourists, 5-4, in 11 innings. Starting pitcher Josh Brandt played a key role in the triumph. The Sand Gnats bumped their record to 29-20 with this latest triumph.

Savannah won the game in part because of Bob Crouch. The second baseman ripped a solo home run in the top of the 11th inning to put the Sand Gnats ahead, 5-4. For the game, Crouch had 1 double and 1 home run in 5 at-bats.

"I was a little disappointed," said Asheville manager Stan Bland. "We could've and should've scored more runs."
