Delmarva pitcher Aurelio Gobbi did his part in helping his team beat the Augusta GreenJackets, 10-2. The right-hander kept opposing batters from doing too much damage. The Shorebirds bumped their record to 36-15 with this latest triumph.

Walt Ellis went 2 for 5 with 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs for Delmarva. The 24-year old third baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the third. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 0-0 tie with a 2-run single off Adrián Aguilar. It was his 23rd hit of the season.

"The Shorebirds definitely had our number," said Augusta manager Troy Tulowitzki.
