The Savannah Sand Gnats defeated the Augusta GreenJackets, 9-6, at Lake Olmstead Stadium. Mike Nance produced 2 singles and 1 double, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 1. Luis Lucero recorded the save, his 15th. Savannah is now 35-17, Augusta 19-33.

Savannah used a clutch at-bat from Tyrone Jackson to capture the win. The designated hitter hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Sand Gnats ahead, 6-2. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
