Millar Leads Rome Past Charleston
In a low-scoring contest between the Rome Hammers and the Charleston RiverDogs, Stephen Millar, who is tied for 6th in the SAL in wins with 6, proved to be the difference. The Rome right-hander earned props for his performance in the 3-0 Hammers win. Lou Riley was credited with the save for Rome, his 20th of the season. The setback makes Charleston 26-29.

Millar was the winner. He's now 6-4, after putting the Charleston offense in a vise grip. Over 8 innings, he gave up no runs on 1 hit, while racking up 7 Ks.

"It's nice to get the results when you're feeling good and throwing the ball well," said Millar after the game.
