The Lexington Legends went home winners at Whitaker Bank Ballpark, thanks in large part to starter Chris Tyler. Tyler stifled the Savannah Sand Gnats, enabling Lexington to grab the 2-1 win. Luis Hernández claimed the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2.1 innings. His record stands at 4-0. After today's action, Lexington sits at 21-34, while Savannah falls to 37-18.

The Legends got a big at-bat from shortstop Baghel Hakem. For the game, Hakem went 1 for 3 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the sixth, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 1st home run of the season gave Lexington a 2-0 lead.

Hakem said the team appreciates the support from the fans. "I'm glad we could reward them with a good win," he said after the game.
