Lexington Legends starter Leonardo González turned in a top-notch performance against the Asheville Tourists at Whitaker Bank Ballpark. The result was a win for the Legends, 8-2. González, who is tied for 7th in the SAL in strikeouts with 88, went the distance for Lexington. He gave up 2 runs on 7 hits. With the victory, the Legends upped their record to 30-25.

Dan Overstreet, who is tied for 3rd in the SAL in RBI with 30, chipped in a grand slam home run for Lexington in the bottom of the seventh. For the game, the right fielder had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 5 runs batted in.

"Leonardo gets tougher when he has to, makes a big pitch when he has to," said Lexington skipper Brad Lincoln.
