The Greensboro Grasshoppers beat the Hickory Crawdads, 7-0, at NewBridge Bank Park. Jon Barlow, in particular, was impressive. He went 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Jim Scholz came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The left-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 4.1 innings. His record now stands at 4-0. With the win, the Grasshoppers sit at 35-20.

With Greensboro leading 1-0 in the bottom of the second, Barlow hit a fastball from José Hernández for a 2-run home run. It was his 5th home run of the season and put the Grasshoppers ahead, 3-0.

"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Barlow.
