GreenJackets Suffer One-Run Loss at Savannah
Enthusiastic fans came out to support the home team at Grayson Stadium.

Savannah picked up a win at Grayson Stadium, bumping off the Augusta GreenJackets, 5-4. Pitcher Caleb Nix was a major reason the Sand Gnats emerged victorious. Nix picked up the win for Savannah, going 8 innings. He gave up 4 runs on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 7-2.

Savannah took the lead, 5-4, on Tony Funkhouser's 8th home run of the season. The 2-run home run came off Augusta pitcher Daniel Hernández in the bottom of the seventh.

"I found a nice groove out there," said Nix.

The victory gives the Sand Gnats a record of 33-23.
