Huggins, Legends March to 8-4 Victory
The Lexington Legends used the hitting of left fielder Chris Huggins to subdue the Rome Firebirds, 8-4. For the game, Huggins went 4 for 5 with 2 doubles and 2 singles, while scoring 3 and driving in 2. Lexington raised its record to 29-27 with the win.

Ed Barton had a big 3-run home run for the Legends in the bottom of the second inning. With Lexington leading 3-0 and runners on 1st and 3rd, he got a fastball from Don St. John and swatted a home run to center. It was his 7th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Legends ahead, 6-0.

"We didn't pitch good, and when you don't pitch good, you lose," said Rome manager Aaron Holbert.
