Intimidators Post 9-3 Win Over Delmarva
|
Sammy Simmons was a major contributor to the 9-3 Kannapolis win over Delmarva. The Intimidators left fielder went 4-5 with 2 doubles, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 runs. The win was credited to Ron Collins in relief. His record improves to 2-0. Jesús De Jesús took the loss. Kannapolis is now 31-25. Delmarva is 32-24.
In the top of the sixth, Luis Yan delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and runners on 1st and 2nd, the Kannapolis designated hitter hit a run-scoring single, putting the Intimidators in front, 9-3.
"The credit goes to our offense," said Kannapolis manager Osamu Hamanaka.
