Hagerstown turned a good effort from starter Pat Scott into a win over the Hickory Crawdads at Municipal Stadium. The Suns won the game, 4-2. Scott, now 2-3, was the winner. In 8 innings, he gave up 7 hits, while striking out 6, walking 3, and allowing 1 run. The Suns improved their record to 14-44 with the win over Hickory.

The Suns got a big at-bat from catcher Ronnie Washington. For the game, Washington went 1 for 3 with a double, while adding 2 RBI. In the bottom of the second, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 3rd double of the season gave Hagerstown a 3-1 lead.
