The Charleston RiverDogs topped the Asheville Tourists, 6-0, in South Atlantic League action at McCormick Field. The game was highlighted by the performance of Charleston pitcher Omar Padua. Padua got the win, improving to 5-5. He gave up 10 hits and walked 1 over 8 innings. He allowed no runs. Charleston is now 29-29, while Asheville is 30-28.

The outcome was still in doubt with two out in the bottom of the third inning, but Padua was able to pitch out of a jam. With runners on 1st and 3rd and Asheville trailing 2-0, Padua retired Tim Alexander, who flied out.
