Thanks in large part to shortstop Jeff Thomas, the Lexington Legends beat the Rome Hammers, 6-4. Thomas went 3-5 with a triple and 2 doubles, while scoring 2 runs. Lexington is 23-36 and Rome, with the loss, 35-24.

Thomas had an important at-bat with the bases empty in the top of the eighth, when he hit a triple. The Legends went on to win.

"Feels good to get the job done," Thomas said after the game.
