Joe Wolfe, who is tied for 7th in the SAL with a 1.03 WHIP, never let the Intimidators get in a groove. The right-hander used his bread and butter, his fastball, to pitch the Power to a win, 4-0. West Virginia is now 28-32, Kannapolis 34-26.

Wolfe delivered a quality start for West Virginia. The 5-foot-10 right-hander allowed no earned runs on 3 hits over 8 innings of work.

"Joe pounded the strike zone and made good pitches when he needed to," said West Virginia manager German Melendez.
