Benefiting from Jon West's productive game, the Augusta GreenJackets downed the Charleston RiverDogs, 6-3. West was 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for the GreenJackets. The losing streak for Charleston has now reached 4 games.
With Augusta leading 1-0 in the top of the fifth, West hit a cutter from Omar Padua for a grand slam home run. It was his 5th home run of the season and put the GreenJackets ahead, 5-0.
West told a Augusta Today reporter that he was "more than satisfied" with the win.
