Lexington got a big-time effort from pitcher Cam Sellers, but it wasn't enough to keep the Greensboro Grasshoppers from winning the game, 5-2. Sellers threw 7.0 innings of 5-hit ball for the losing team. Greensboro is now 28-35. Lexington is 25-38.

Joe Kent, the 12th overall pick in the 2025 draft, helped out the Greensboro cause in the top of the eighth inning with a run-scoring walk. For the game, the shortstop drew 2 walks in 5 plate appearances.
