Ed Brown, who is tied for 10th in the SAL with a 9.6 K/9 rate, had a strong outing for the Kannapolis Intimidators against the Hagerstown Suns at Municipal Stadium. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 6-2 win. The victory gives the Intimidators a record of 37-26.

Kannapolis used the hitting of Bob Bullard to pick up the win. The center fielder clubbed a grand slam home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Intimidators on top, 6-0. For the game, Bullard had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"I just tried to attack the bottom of the zone," Brown said.
