Bats Fail for Suns in 6-1 Loss
Spirited fans greeted the Hagerstown Suns for their clash with the West Virginia Power.

The West Virginia Power got a marvelous performance from pitcher Robert Erhardt. The right-hander kept the Hagerstown offense from ever getting much traction. The result was an impressive 6-1 West Virginia victory at Municipal Stadium. West Virginia now sports a record of 28-36.

Erhardt made it look effortless. He scattered 4 hits over 8 innings, while racking up 11 strikeouts. The West Virginia right-hander encountered little resistance from the Hagerstown hitters. His season record is now 3-6.

"No complaints from me," said Power manager German Melendez. "I like what I saw out there."
