McCormick Field was host to some action-packed drama.

In a tight tilt between the Asheville Tourists and the West Virginia Power, Robbie Deal was the deciding factor. The Asheville right-hander spearheaded the 3-2 win. Pete Joseph, now 2-1, picked up the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 4 hits in 2 innings.

Mario Aguilar was the walk-off hero for Asheville. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Tourists center fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"We squandered some opportunities," said West Virginia manager German Melendez.

The Tourists improved their record to 35-30 with the win over West Virginia.
