Hickory left fielder Mike Taylor was sensational. He was 3 for 5 with a home run and a triple, while scoring 2 and driving in 4. But it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Delmarva beat the Crawdads, 8-7. Robinson García nailed down the save. With the win, Delmarva raised its record to 47-19.

Delmarva used the timely hitting of T.J. Blake to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Shorebirds on top, 8-7. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"Trying isn't good enough in this league," said Blake. "You've got to get results."
