Bryant Delivers Walk-Off Win for Drive
Augusta got a terrific performance from pitcher Pat Bryant, but it wasn't enough to beat the Greenville Drive. Greenville won the Fluor Field at the West End contest, 8-5. Bryant threw 8.0 innings of shutout ball for the losing team. Greenville reliever António López picked up the win, upping his record to 5-0. Aurelio Soriano absorbed the loss. The Drive now have a record of 39-26 with the win over Augusta.

The climactic moment came in the bottom of the ninth for Greenville. That's when 27-year old third baseman Ben Bryant hit a grand slam home run off Aurelio Soriano to win the game. The home crowd erupted in celebration.

"We came out aggressive," said Drive manager Jason Wood. "We came out swinging the bats."
