The Augusta GreenJackets picked up a win at Lake Olmstead Stadium, topping the Charleston RiverDogs, 12-4. On the mound for Augusta was right-hander Juan Carlos Hernández. He played a principal role in the triumph. Hernández, the winner, moves to 5-5. He threw 6.1 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 8 and giving up 1 walk. The save was credited to Doug Taylor, his 1st.

Jeff Miller had a big 2-run double for the GreenJackets in the bottom of the second inning. With Augusta leading 3-0 and the bases loaded, he got a slider from 22-year old right-handed pitcher Stan Lester and swatted a double to right-center. It was his 12th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the GreenJackets ahead, 5-0.

"Juan Carlos did a nice job," said GreenJackets manager Troy Tulowitzki.

The loss makes Charleston 32-36.
