Intimidators Hand Savannah 2-1 Loss
Luis Díaz, who is tied for 5th in the SAL with a 1.05 WHIP, had a strong outing for the Kannapolis Intimidators against the Savannah Sand Gnats at CMC-NorthEast Stadium. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 2-1 win. Wally Clarke locked down his 3rd save. Savannah has now lost 4 in a row.

Kannapolis took a 2-1 lead on Héctor Paredes's 9th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Paredes hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Savannah pitcher Clarence Bennett visibly frustrated.

"Luis has got a slow heartbeat," said Kannapolis manager Carlos Mota. "He doesn't panic or anything."
