Greenville Gets 4-0 Win Versus Lexington in 13
|
The Greenville Drive clipped the Lexington Legends, 4-0, in 13 innings at Whitaker Bank Ballpark. The standout performance belonged to Greenville pitcher and Leesburg, Florida, native Lonnie Williams. Greenville is now 31-38, Lexington 28-41.
Williams, the Greenville left-hander, went 9 innings, allowing no runs on 7 hits. He collected 8 strikeouts.
"Win or lose, we always try to grind it out and stay even-keeled," Williams said in reaction to the win.
