The Greenville Drive picked up a win at Fluor Field at the West End, knocking off the Asheville Tourists, 5-4. Starting pitcher Mike Henry was a big reason why. Henry, now 4-10, was the winner. In 7.1 innings, he gave up 7 hits, while striking out 7, walking 2, and allowing 3 runs. Kevin MacMonies was called on to finish, recording his 9th save.

Don Campbell was 2-4 with 2 singles and a walk for Greenville. The 22-year old third baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring single off Mike Piper. It was his 70th hit of the season.

Greenville manager Jason Wood commended his team for "doing what it takes to win."
